30 Day Purge Challenge {Days 29 & 30}

30 Day Purge Challenge {Days 29-30}. For 30 days I will purge five items each day in order to de-clutter and get rid of excess from our home. This is my progress for Days 29-30.

I can’t believe the challenge is over. Technically is was over last week, but I didn’t have a chance to post this until today since I was in NYC for a blogging conference. Although the challenge is over, I’m going to continue getting rid of things we don’t need or use until I run of out stuff. 🙂

This challenge has been a huge blessing for me and has enabled me to focus my energy on the things that I love. I’ve also given away a lot of things without hesitation. This is a big deal for me since I tend to hang on to things if I think they’re valuable. Perhaps some extra time would have enabled me to sell some things and make some extra cash, but my goal was to purge quickly and hang on to as little as possible.

Is the purge challenge for you? Unfortunately, I can’t answer that. It’s truly going to depend on you and what you value. I personally think that everyone can benefit from doing a challenge similar to this one. It will give you the momentum you need to get rid of things that are bogging you down and taking up space. However, if you’re content having lots of stuff, more power to you.

So on to the items from days 29 & 30.

As you can see, there’s a variety of things. The majority was bags, not sure why I owned so many handbags and totes since I tend to stick to one or two. I also got rid of my wedding shoes that are almost 14 years old! There’s also a lamp, backpack, pool float and swim diapers that no longer fit my toddler. Pretty much everything was donated to charity and friends.

So that’s it y’all. Over 150 items out the door and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I hope the posts motivated you to subtract the excess from your own home. Oh, and below is a visual of some of the items that I purged from this challenge. Simply awesome. Thanks for following along!
