I’m very excited to share today’s post! State Farm Neighborhood Assist® has announced the top 200 causes that need your vote. State Farm Neighborhood Assist is a crowd-sourced philanthropic program that empowers communities to identify issues in their neighborhoods. If you need a bit of a refresher, check out my previous post to learn more about this great initiative.

Last month, State Farm put out the call for communities across the United States to submit causes that would make a positive impact in their neighborhoods. After 2,000 submissions were received, the State Farm Youth Advisory Board, a group of 30 students who are passionate about social responsibility, reviewed the submissions and selected the top 200 finalists based on criteria they created.

Now is your turn to help! The top 200 causes need your vote to help them bring money to their communities.

  • From Oct. 26 through Nov. 4, everyone with a valid email address can vote for their favorite causes at www.neighborhoodassist.com.
  • The top 40 causes with the most votes will each receive a $25,000 grant from State Farm.
  • The 200 causes have until Nov. 4 to rally votes and anyone voting is allowed up to 10 votes per day.
  • On Nov. 30, the top 40 vote-receiving causes will be announced and a $25,000 grant will be awarded to each of the affiliated nonprofits.

“Neighborhood Assist is another example of State Farm helping life go right in communities all across the U.S.”, said Kellie Clapper, State Farm Assistant Vice President. “The communities themselves play an important role in inspiring people to rally and vote for these important causes.”

This grant can make a lasting impact in these communities, and all you have to do is help with your vote! For a complete list of the top 200 causes or to vote for a cause, go to www.neighborhoodassist.com.
