Thank you to POND’S for sponsoring today’s story and helping me share my skincare tips!
Washing piles of laundry, creating meal plans and running errands while trying to squeeze in a quick shower are all part of most moms’ routine. There are days that I’m lucky if I get to sit and eat my meal in peace. What this also means is that I will put everyone else’s needs first and neglect myself in the process. However, lately I’ve been noticing that as I creep closer to my mid 30s, my skin is changing as well and not necessarily in a good way. So today I’m sharing my top 5 skincare tips for busy moms.
5 Skincare Tips For Busy Moms
1. Sleep.
Sleep is essential for great skin (and health!). As a mom, I know it’s easy to cut back on sleep when our schedules get busy, but you have to make it a priority. You’ll wake up feeling refreshed and won’t have to worry about contributing to the dreaded dark circles that little sleep can give you.
2. Drink water.
Staying hydrated is crucial for great skin. To remind myself to drink water, I simply fill up a cup when I’m in the kitchen grabbing something. There are also some great apps that will remind you to drink your H2O. You can also keep track by writing down each time you drink a glass of water to keep yourself accountable.
3. Use sunscreen.
Sun damage can be detrimental to your skin and can also be the root of some serious skin conditions. Never leave your home without using some form of sunscreen on your skin. I know it’s easy to forget when it’s not hot out, but the sun rays can still damage your skin during the cold seasons. Unfortunately, you don’t get a free pass simply because it’s freezing outside.
4. Cleanse your skin.
I don’t know about you, but even when I don’t use any makeup my skin feels dirty by the end of the day. My simple solution is to use a great cleanser like POND’S Cold Cream Cleanser to deep clean my skin. I also like to remove my makeup with POND’S Wet Cleansing Towelettes.
Check out the photo below to see how much makeup and dirt it removed! By the way, I only had a little bit of foundation on. Yikes!
5. Moisturize.
My skin also tends to get dry during the winter months from being exposed to the cold air. So a great moisturizer is a must to keep my skin feeling soft and smooth. After washing your face make sure to slather on moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated. The Dry Skin Cream by POND’S is a great facial moisturizer.
