We started in the home, but we never stayed there.
The Latina Homemaker was born over a decade ago from something simple — a desire to create a space that felt like us. Where the tips were practical, the culture was centered, and the voice didn’t ask you to choose between your heritage and your ambition.
Back then, it looked like cleaning hacks and budget dinners and making a home feel like home on a tight budget. And honestly? That work was never small. Running a household, stretching a dollar, feeding a family with love and sazón, requires skill. That’s something our abuelas knew and the world spent decades undervaluing.
We grew, and so did you.
Today, The Latina Homemaker is something bigger. A media brand built for the Latina who is educated, ambitious, and deeply proud of where she comes from. The one who can talk mofongo and mortgages in the same breath. Who is building a career, a business, or a life that looks nothing like what was handed to her.
We cover food rooted in our culture and the stories behind it. We talk money, business, and wealth-building without apology — because financial power is a birthright, not a privilege. And we celebrate what it means to be Latina today, in all the complicated, beautiful, contradictory ways that actually looks.
You belong here.
This is not a space that will ask you to be more traditional. It’s also not a space that will ask you to leave your culture at the door to seem more “mainstream.” You don’t have to shrink here.
The Latina Homemaker has always been about building something. We just expanded what that something could be.
While our roots are Latin, our door is wide open. This community is for anyone who finds themselves at home in these pages. If you’ve ever loved this culture, been raised in it, married into it, curious about it, or just here for the food and the cafecito — you are welcome here.
