Have you ever asked yourself what is means to be a mom? I have, and although I like to keep things simple, this is one question I can’t sum up with one single answer.
Being a mom means several things to me. It means being a cook so that I can create delicious meals my kids can enjoy. It means being a teacher and helping my children understand math problems that I can’t even solve. Being a mom means being an on-demand driver to get my kids to activities they love.
Being a mom means being a nurse and pulling an all-nighter when one of my kids is sick. It means being a housekeeper and picking up my children’s messes for the umphundredth time. It also means being the “bad guy” and dealing with the tears that follow.
Being a mom means being rich. The type of rich that doesn’t involve the size of my bank account. Because I have been given the hardest, yet most rewarding role that I could ever have on this earth. When my babies hug my neck and tell me they love me, all the sleepless nights, messes and tears are worth it.
