I can’t believe Easter is only a week away! It’s my second favorite holiday of the year (Christmas is #1) and one that my kids always look forward to. I always like to keep it pretty traditional and do some of same things I did growing up. As a family, we watch movies about the life of Jesus and discuss the real meaning of the holiday. We also like to enjoy a nice dinner followed by an Easter egg hunt that’s typically hosted by my in-laws. Even the older kids get to participate. Last year my baby girl was too young to join in, but this year she can join with the older ones and I’m excited to capture the moment. I already scored a gorgeous dress at a consignment shop that she’ll be wearing on Easter Sunday.

Another thing I like to do is create yummy treats and desserts for the family. If you want an easy treat that will impress your family, you’ll love this easy tutorial. Simply bake your favorite vanilla cupcake recipe or use a store bought cake mix if you prefer. This is also a perfect way to get the younger kids involved by allowing them to place the “eggs” on the cupcakes.
