31 Days To A Clutter Free Life Day 15: Master Bathroom

Welcome to Day 15 of the 31 Days To A Clutter Free Life Challenge! If you want to find out what the challenge is all about or would like to read the previous posts, simply go here.

Today’s challenge is the master bathroom. We do have a master bathroom that also doubles as the guest bathroom since it’s the only bathroom on the first floor. Our master bathroom is not very large so it does not have the extra space for bathroom furniture or shelves. This is a blessing in disguise because I don’t have the ability to get the space cluttered. However, the area under the sink is where I throw cleaning supplies and other miscellaneous things. This is where I decided to focus my efforts on since it was in desperate need of some organization.

Here’s what it looked like before I tackled it:

My plan is to purchase some colorful plastic bins to hold the things that I keep under the sink. The colorful part is not necessary, but pretty colors make me happy. 🙂

If you do have a larger bathroom or find that you do have visible clutter, here are some tips to help you in the de-cluttering process:

  • If you don’t need it or use it, pitch it.
  • If it doesn’t belong in the bathroom, find a new home for it.
  • If it can be stored in a bathroom cabinet or closet, put it away.
  • Only leave out the things you use daily.
  • Keep them contained in jars, containers or some other form of storage.

Do you find that your bathroom gets cluttered easily or is it clutter free? I think one of the reasons ours stays in pretty good shape is that we don’t share it with the kids.
