How To Organize Your Bathroom Toiletries {Plus Free Labels!}

I don’t know about you, but I find that bathroom toiletries is one of the hardest things to organize. Why? Because there are so many random things that it’s hard to group them together. Initially, I had three baskets organized under three categories: Hair, Face and Body. However, I quickly learned that it wouldn’t work for our family. We would always wind up with one basket that was overflowing, while another basket would be fairly empty. So today I’m going to share with you the method that currently works for us.

How To Organize Your Bathroom Toiletries

• Purchase plastic bins at a dollar store. I prefer plastic bins because they’re easier to clean if a product spills. I’m hoping to one day have pretty and colorful bins to replace my old ones, but as a busy mommy of 3, practicality trumps pretty.
• Get rid of products you don’t use. You know that body spray that cost you a pretty penny, but you never use it because it smells funny. Yup, that one. Pitch it. 😉
• Place like items together. For example; liquid soap, bar soap and hand sanitizer gets placed in the same basket.
• Label it. Don’t assume that just because you organized and grouped similar items together that your family is going to know what method you’re using. So make sure you label your bins so you don’t have to re-organize everything again. Trust me on this one.

Not so bad, right? I find that this method helps me keep the bathroom toiletries organized and saves my family time when they’re searching for things. I also know when I’m running out of a product so that I’m not wasting money on extra things we don’t need.

I suggest you print them on heavy cardstock or laminate them so that they last longer. You can tape these to your plastic bins or punch a hole through the label and hang it with a ribbon or jute from a basket.
