I was provided with complimentary accommodations and admissions to facilitate my review. However, all opinions are 100% my own.
Our family recently visited Hershey, PA to experience some of the fun this sweet town has to offer during the holiday season. My kids were thrilled to spend a weekend at the sweetest place on earth, and I was just as excited as they were. Today I’m sharing some of the fun things we got to experience and why you should add it to your destination list.
During our visit, we stayed at the Hershey Lodge hotel which was all decked out for the holidays. The Hershey Lodge offers tons of amenities for the entire family and my youngest declared it “the best place ever!”.
My kids really enjoyed Hershey’s Water Works at Hershey Lodge which features 30,000 square feet of fun. From a zero entry pool to Twizzlers Twists water slides, your kids will have plenty to do. It also offered a nice break from the cold outdoors. I had a hard time peeling this little one away from the water slides.
The hotel also offers several dining options including The Bears’ Den. This restaurant has a hockey-rink theme which is modeled after the hometown team, the Hershey Bears. The Hershey Lodge is also home to one of my favorite restaurants, Hershey Grill. I highly recommend the S’mores French Toast. Sooo good!
One of our traditions is to visit Hersheypark Christmas Candylane and Hershey Sweet Lights during the holiday season. We all look forward to the Christmas lights, Santa and his reindeer, and of course the rides.
Hershey Sweet Lights is located just minutes from Hersheypark. This is one of my personal favorite attractions. We get to enjoy two miles of illuminated displays from the comfort of our own car while listening to Christmas music. I highly suggest purchasing a bag of kettle corn and some hot chocolate to enjoy during the drive.
Hershey, PA is the perfect destination for families looking to create memories and get in the holiday spirit. There’s truly something for everyone in your family. If you live near the area, consider gifting a Hersheypark Season Pass to your children or grandchildren. I assure you it will be pay itself off within a couple of visits.
