30 Day Purge Challenge {Days 18-21}

30 Day Purge Challenge {Days 18-21}. For 30 days I will purge five items each day in order to de-clutter and get rid of excess from our home. This is my progress for Days 18-21.
In case you missed the initial post; I’m currently doing a 30 day purge challenge where I choose five items each day that I have to donate, sell or trash.

Happy Monday! I know, Monday it’s not one of those days that people get excited about. But honestly, I think that having a positive attitude can help you embrace it and even enjoy it. I actually look forward to Mondays. It’s when I reset, start new goals, new plans, and set the tone for the rest of the week.

So we’re now two-thirds of the way into the purge challenge. I’m so glad that I decided to set this challenge for myself. It has been a huge blessing for me to give to others and also get rid of excess stuff that I truly didn’t think I had. Over the weekend I tackled some more areas of the home and found some things I had completely forgotten about. I immediately packed it up and put it my car. I wanted to make sure that I didn’t forget anything this time around.

This post includes 4 days, the first two still includes clothing from my baby girl’s closet. I have finally moved on from that area and I’m now focusing on some storage spaces that I haven’t fussed with in a bit.

The last two days are random things that I kept because I planned to either sell them at a yard sale or give away. Well I did neither one and had these things packed up in my basement. Everything you see (minus the chair) will be donated. I know that the bags of clothes from today has way more than the five item limit that I set for myself, but these bags were ready to go and I didn’t want to unload stuff unnecessarily.

So moral of the story is to make sure that your purged items make it OUT of your home immediately. Otherwise your efforts will be wasted since you’ll have to deal with it again months later.

Do you forget to get rid of the things you purged? Or are you pretty good about getting them out the door? I would love to hear from you!
