31 Days To A Clutter Free Life Day 20: Kids Bathroom

Welcome to Day 20 of the 31 Days To A Clutter Free Life Challenge! If you want to find out what the challenge is all about or would like to read the previous posts, simply go here.

For this challenge we are focusing on the kids bathroom. This is the first time that we’ve had a master bathroom in our home which enabled the kids to have a bathroom of their own. To keep their bathroom clutter free, I keep it as simple as possible. I know I’ve said this many times before, but I say it because it works. The more stuff you put in a room, the chances of it getting messy increases. Not only that, it will also make it harder to clean up since you have more to work with.

For this challenge I encourage you to go through the entire bathroom and truly access what stays.

  • If it doesn’t get used, get rid of it.
  • If it doesn’t belong in the bathroom, give it a new home.
  • Buy containers to keep things grouped together. This will also help prevent spillage.
  • Maximize the space you have by using the wall space and the space under the bathroom sink.

As you’ll see in the photos below my kids bathroom space is very simple and clutter free. I took these pictures without having to pick anything up. My daughter does an excellent job of maintaining the space and keeping things organized. I’m hoping to spruce things up before the holidays since this another room that isn’t fully finished, but at least I won’t have to worry about de-cluttering it.

How are you doing so far? I hope you are hanging in there. I won’t lie, I definitely groaned more than once knowing I had to tackle something everyday. However, I’m so glad I’ve stuck it out because now I won’t have to worry about de-cluttering next month.
