7 Reasons to Visit Morey’s Piers

Find out why you should add Morey’s Piers to your family’s summer destination list! Special thanks to Morey’s Piers for hosting our family and helping facilitate my review.

Our family recently visited Wildwood, New Jersey to enjoy a weekend at the shore. This was our first visit to the area, so we didn’t know what to expect. But by the end of our stay, none of us wanted to leave. There are plenty of attractions for the entire family to enjoy and thanks to Morey’s Piers we packed a lot of fun during our visit. Today I’m sharing more about our experience and why Morey’s Piers should be on your family’s destination list.

If you want to watch a quick recap of our trip, check out the video below!

1. Family-friendly accommodations

Our family stayed at the Starlux Boutique Hotel, but Morey’s offers hotel options for every budget and style. Our room at the Starlux had a retro style which felt like we had stepped back in time. Not only did we have the option of enjoying the pool and miniature golf, the beach and boardwalk were just steps away from our hotel. If you stay at one of Morey’s Resorts you can purchase “Play & Stay” passes which are exclusively available to guests and gives you more bang for your buck. The passes offer unlimited use of Morey’s 3 Amusement Piers and 2 Waterparks.

2. Rides for everyone

Morey’s Piers is known for helping generations of families create memories. And with over 100 rides and attractions, I can assure you that no one in your family will be bored. There are 3 Piers that pack a lot of fun for all age groups. Your family can enjoy classic rides like the Carousel and Bumper Cars, or seek thrills on the newly renovated looping coaster – The Great Nor’Easter.

We also had the opportunity to take a behind the scenes VIP Tour which gave us insight on what it takes to keep the parks running smoothly while keeping guests safe. My 13-year-old son really enjoyed hearing stories from the employees and learning the mechanical side of things. He wants to be an engineering in the future, so he was definitely in his zone.

3. Sun and sand

Playing in the sun, building sand castles, and catching waves. Need I say more? I was raised in Puerto Rico near the coast, so I welcome a day at the shore. If you visit Morey’s Piers, you’ll be able to spend part of your day hanging out at the beach. Since our hotel was super close to the beach we were able to spend half the day there, and still have plenty of time to finish our day at the Piers.

4.Delicious food

If you’ve been following me for a while, you already know that I love food. Seriously, who doesn’t? We ate at Joe’s Fish Co., Jumbo’s and Stubborn Brothers Beach Bar & Grille. All of these restaurants have delicious food options and great service. My personal favorite was the Grilled Ceasar Salad from Joe’s Fish Co. while my boys enjoyed the Stuffed Shrimp. I also tried alligator bites at Stubborn Brothers. Eeek!

5. Water parks with a view

I’ve been to plenty of water parks over the years, but none offered a view of the beach. At Morey’s Piers your family can play at Raging Waters Water Park or Ocean Oasis Water Park + Beach Club. Both water parks offer a variety of water rides for families, so I suggest you try both during your stay.

6. The Boardwalk

A visit to the shore is not complete without a visit to the boardwalk. What’s great about Morey’s Piers is that they’re all located just off The Wildwoods Boardwalk, so you’ll have plenty to see and do along the way. Live entertainment, food, and shops are some of the options you’ll find. If you’re an early bird, I highly suggest renting a Surrey bike and exploring the boardwalk with your family.

7. Lifelong memories

I’ve always been a huge advocate for family travel. I’m a frugal girl at heart, but it doesn’t mean I shy away from investing in our travel experiences. Morey’s Piers has given our family the opportunity to create memories that will last a lifetime. You simply can’t put a price tag on that. If you’re not sure where to go this summer and live in the Northeast, give Morey’s a visit. I can assure you that your family won’t be disappointed. In fact, we’re already planning our next visit. 🙂
