I recently shared my daughter’s excitement for Disney’s newest princess, Elena of Avalor. My daughter is thrilled to have another Disney princess to look up to, and I love the fact that she’s the first Disney princess inspired by Latin American culture. Princess Elena is fearless, brave and compassionate, so I love that my daughter has a princess that is similar to the Latina women in her life.
My daughter has been playing dress up and mimicking what she sees on the new Elena of Avalor show. I love that she gets to enjoy a fun show that teaches her to embrace diversity, and stand up for what she believes in. Family is everything to me, and I want my kids to value the relationship they have with each other throughout their life.
This Thursday, August 11 at 11am EST/8am PST, Princess Elena will make her royal debut at Walt Disney World Resort. How fun is that?! Although I wish I was there to watch it unfold live, I’m happy that I’m able to watch with my daughter while it’s live streamed on Disney’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. I can’t wait to see the excitement on my daughter’s face.
