30 Purge Challenge {Days 16 & 17}

30 Day Purge Challenge {Days 16 & 17}. For 30 days I will purge five items each day in order to de-clutter and get rid of excess from our home. This is my progress for Days 16 & 17.
In case you missed the initial post; I’m currently doing a 30 day purge challenge where I choose five items each day that I have to donate, sell or trash.

We are done!! Obviously not with the purge challenge, but my kids are done with another year of homeschool. It’s funny because some parents look forward to their kids going back to school, but not in my case. Summer is when I catch a small break from textbooks and grading papers. This upcoming year we plan on starting even earlier than normal, so my break won’t be as long as other years. However, it will give us some more flexibility throughout our homeschool year. I’m interested to see how it all works out.

Now back to my purging progress. I still have been tackling my toddler’s clothes. I wasn’t kidding when I said that she had a ridiculous amount of clothes thanks to our parents. I’m hoping that I’ll be done with all of her stuff by this weekend, so that I can finally move on to something different. It’s been great blessing others with her previous stuff, but I’m getting bored since it all looks the same at this point.

So what can you want to hit the purging “snooze button”?
Don’t quit. You’re going to hit a point where purging is no longer exciting. Perhaps you’re going through paperwork or sorting through a sock drawer. Purging these things may not give you satisfaction since you won’t see a huge return right away on the time you’re investing. It’s easier to get excited when you tackle big items or spaces that look immediately different when dealt it. However, I can assure you that as insignificant as these areas may seem, they are just as important.

So here are my five items for days 16 & 17:

All of the clothes were donated to a family friend that has a baby girl.

I hope that you’re still on board and wiping out the clutter from your home. Imagine how much stuff will be gone by the end of this challenge! What’s even better is the new found love you’ll have for the open space and the peace of mind it brings.
