Our family recently dined out at Hoss’s Steak and Sea House. Dining out is a luxury for our family so when we do go out, we like to pick a place we’ll all enjoy and that is also family friendly. Hoss’s delivered on both of our requirements. We had a few Hoss’s restaurants located near our home, but we chose one that was only a few minutes away.
One of the things I kept hearing over and over again about Hoss’s is that they offer an all-you-can-eat soup, salad and dessert bar. This is one of the staples that Hoss’s is famous for and I can see why. They have a variety of soups to pick from along with a full salad bar with various options of greens, toppings and dressings. They also offer fresh baked rolls and a variety of desserts including soft serve ice cream.
I fixed myself a cup of chicken noodle soup to get started while the boys got their salads ready. This little girl decided to get a head start on eating and munch on the crackers that I brought to the table for my soup.
My son also had a cup of chicken noodle soup which was full of real noodles and tender chicken.
I wanted to leave room for my burger so I passed on the salad, but my step-son and husband fixed themselves salads that kept them happy while they waited for their meal.
I ordered a Philly Steakburger for dinner. Let me tell you, this is not your average burger. You get a beef patty that is smothered with chopped Philly steak, drizzled with sautéed onions, green peppers, Cheez Whiz® and Dijon Horseradish. My burger also came with a good portion of fries. It was delicious! I truly didn’t know what to expect with this one because of the name, but I’m so glad I made this choice. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I ordered it again a few days later for take out!
The boys ordered the House Special which includes pepper jack cheese, Hoss’s BBQ sauce and bacon, topped off with a jumbo onion ring. The burger was daddy and kid approved.
Hoss’s is currently celebrating an all-American classic with its Hossome Burger Fest. Hossome Burger Fest features eight burgers on the Hoss’s menu which includes three new burger options. Between September 29th and November 9th you can order a burger for only $5.99 which includes endless french fries. This is a delicious and affordable option for families. Also if you purchase four 1/3 lb. burgers between the above dates, you’ll get a free Willie Burger. We earned one in just one visit! Make sure to ask your server for your free passport.
If burgers is not your thing, Hoss’s offers a wide range of menu options from steak to seafood so there’s something for everyone. Need to find a location near you?
